You are free to spend most of the evenings at your leisure. Take advantage of the opportunity to join for dinner in the city center of Kiel, have a beer in the famous brewery at the old town market, or take a stroll along the Kiellinie seaside promenade.

Kick-Off Activity

On Monday evening we will join for some bowling in Rick’s Café near the University to conclude the first evening together. We will meet there at 18:00 to have dinner first. Then several bowling lanes are reserved for us from 18:30 to 20:00. Rick’s Café also offers other pub games like billard and dart, if bowling is not your cup of tea (website www.ricks-kiel.de, in German only).

Visit at REALEYES

On Wednesday afternoon we will attend a guided tour at REALEYES, a local company producing innovative glasses-free 3D displays (website real-eyes.eu/en/).
We will meet at 14:00 at the multimedia lab (Hermann-Rodewald-Str. 3) for transfer.

Conference Dinner

On Wednesday evening we will go to Laboe, approximately 10 km northeast of Kiel right on the Baltic Sea coast.
There we will join for dinner at the scenic beach restaurant El Meson Playa (website www.elmesonplaya.de, in German only).

We have organized a bus shuttle for transportation from REALEYES to Laboe and back to the Maritim hotel after the dinner. Departure to Laboe is at 16:15 from Kiel-Kanal 2 (near REALEYES), departure back is at 21:30 from the restaurant.
