Accommodation in Tampere

In order to allow all the students to be accommodated at the same hotel, we have pre-booked a number of individual rooms at the Hotel Hermica (http://www.hermica.fi/), located within a walking distance to the university campus in Hervanta suburb. Hermica’s address is Insinöörinkatu 78, Tampere.

The rooms are available for the period February 10^th – February 15th for a special rate of 90 €/day/single room including breakfast, evening sauna, parking and wifi with a booking code “ETN-FPI”. In order to make your booking at Hotel Hermica, contact them by email (sales@hermica.fi) or by phone (+358 3365 1111). The offer expires by 25.1.2019, so make sure to book before that date.If you prefer to stay in Tampere city center, we can offer you a discount price in Scandic Tampere Koskipuisto for a rate of 83,50€/day/single room or 100€/day/double room including breakfast and wifi with a booking code “TAM110219”. The offer expires by 28.1.2019, so make sure to book before that date. Also please note that the the university campus is located appr. 9km from the city centre.

Traveling to Tampere

You can arrive to Tampere either by flying directly to Tampere airport, or flying to Helsinki-Vantaa airport and then catching a train or a bus from there to Tampere.

Traveling from Helsinki airport to Tampere

From Helsinki-Vantaa airport, it takes appr. 1h45min-2h15min to reach Tampere by train or 2h10min-2h35min to reach Tampere by bus.

In Tampere, you can use public transportation (bus) or a taxi to travel from city centre to Hervanta (TUT/Hotel Hermica). Public transportation info and journey planner are available at: http://joukkoliikenne.tampere.fi/en/.
