Aron Cserkaszky: Research project 12, “GPU assisted lightfield data processing” (Holografika)

Aron has a Masters degree in nuclear physics from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He previously worked on 3D image reconstructions in nuclear medicine and already participated in another Marie Curie training network.

Aron started working on his research project in October 2016. His current research focus is reconstructing sparsely sampled wide baseline lightfields by means of view synthesis. This is motivated by the need to display lightfields on Holovizio lightfield displays, that were captured with small amount of cameras, to experience the smooth horizontal motion parallax provided by the 3D display.
